30/7/2014 in Taiwan

Third day of the leadership camp,
The routine is like repeating over and over again..... I was bored. Almost fell asleep, but I came to think of it, I should really appreciate the rest of time for being here in Taiwan. Yeah, I'll be leaving in less than two weeks, kinda sad tho. :(
Taught the kids our camp dance, 'let's do the Waka Waka dance' said by Linh in her accent. Haha, and did the popular dances and stuff.
We did the mask thing again at night, wasn't that fun for the second time, and someone didn't want to play my favorite songs, so I was bored, again. Haha.
Jin, my best friend from Bangkok, Drew and colored a mask for me! So grateful for that. <3
Had my supper outside the university at night, I had the 鹽酥雞, super yum I could die! Gonna miss it so badly. :(

Second day of the leadership camp, we had Songkran Water Festival again, played all the water splashing game. But i didn't get wet at all. Ha. But I took some nice shot while my kids were splashing the water among themselves!
Night time was the fun part, we had Scavenger Hunt. I helped the activity group again to be dressed up as one of the superheroes, I was the Spider-Man!!!

28/7/2014 in Taiwan

It was the first day for the third session for the leadership camp! Went all the way from my university to 國父紀念館 in Taipei to pick up the campers. Met a few of them, and met my roommates too! XD
THEY ARE SO EFFING CUTE OMG.
Did all the ice breaking games and the placement test on the first day, yeah, they were more or less the same compare to the first session which I was the counsellor too. We only have like 22 campers in total, not as many as the one we had on the first session. So it was less merrier and the activity became kinda boring, cos it all didn't feel the same anymore.
But still, I'm happy to work with all my favorite people here, well not all of them, but yeah. Priscilla Linh and Ben three of them are in the activity group, but I went to them to help out cos they were so much fun to work with!
Did the welcome party at night, I was the moose mascot!! And the welcome party just reminded me of everything we had in the first session, I miss my K2 so much idk why. It felt really different!
Anyway it was all good tho.

27/7/2014 in Taiwan

I had a half day off today, so after the very great dinner last night, we all decided to have our brunch together again since it was our day off.
Headed to the shopping mall nearby, it was probably my favorite shopping mall in Taiwan, at the moment.
The brunch was great and we had fun while doing our grocery shopping in the Carrefour, loved every moment with them, and chilled later at the Starbucks which was so crowded, because it was Sunday, duh.
We then took the shuttle bus back to the university and had the meeting for our next session, I'll be staying in the university for the next session as general counsellor again, with another two newbies. Hehe, I'm the experienced one. Hehehehehehehehehehe.
And maybe because I travelled too much to the other camps.
I'm gonna be... like, maybe a small leader for the general counsellor group, finally making use of myself here. Hahaha.
Chilled with my people at night, and as well as planning for the week trip. Lol I'm so tired now, that's all cheers bye.

Dinner on 26/7/2014

A very special dinner for all the people I've met in Taiwan. It was planned by my USA babe, Priscilla, and it was really well-organized, with the help from others too!

It was really amazing after meeting everyone from different sessions and different camps and after my camp in YiLan.

We all got close from the PENCA group chat they've created, it actually means PENTA complain or something. Hahah.

So we all had our dinner in a dining restaurant in Taipei, it's called Tasty (a steak house).

The food was really delicious, like duh, it's FINE-dining.

I couldn't really find a room for anything anymore after the main course, so I gave my cheese cake away to everyone else in my table. Just imagine how filling the food was.

Gonna make a short introduction for these people :)
From left to right.
Bee, all the way from the US, but she has been living in Taiwan for a few years tho, and who can really speak mandarin, fluently. I was like OMG when I first heard what she spoke.
Then they're Frances and Alex, a couple from England, and yup, they're both the English teachers for the leadership camp.
Then it's Tomas and Niky, another couple, hah, from Czech Republic. I was in a team with for the first session.
Then it's Aviner, from Canada, my group leader for the training camp. He is a great person.

It's Joanne, another EP from Malaysia. She knows about Malaysia's culture and tradition, unlike me.
Chopper, the one who was biting the bread, my favorite friend in this Exchange Project, and he's also the first person I met.
Then it's Jentin, she's also from Malaysia, was with her for both KenTing and YiLan camp.
It's then Michael, from Hong Kong, his accent is very funny, oops. I feel bad for saying this.
Then it comes to Jin, from Thailand, and wow, she's cute and she knows a lot about VSCO Photography, which I've learnt a lot from her.
Lastly, it's Alice, from Hong Kong too, my another best pal in this Exchange! Who can go really crazy if she wants to, or if she's too hyper.

Ciaran and his friend, he's from England too. He has sexy red lips, and he likes me for my humor I guess.
Then it's Fernando, from Indonesia, the team leader for the Activity group in the leadership camp, never really interact with him as I was never a part of the activity group.
It's then Eric and CY both the Malaysia guys, hahaha, Eric was my roommate for the few days, but we were being separated cos we were both in different teams. Yeah they are both nice guys, but I am always the left out Malaysia guy. Hahaha. Sad me.
It finally comes to my table! Haha.
It's Susan, from Taipei, she taught me a lot about Taiwanese, accents, food and stuff. She even showed us around. Yeah she is a really great friend.
Then it's Linh, from Vietnam, my another best friend! I love her as much as she loves me. Haha. I like it when she says 'What's wrong with you?' in her own accent. :P
Then it's Ben, my partner for everything. Hahah they all always matched up me and him, like a husband and wife type. Omg.
Then it's Priscilla!! My babe from the USA, I have to say this the whole time because she asked me to! Love chillin with her, and gossiping. Yeah that's what we do.
And lastly, it's Lobelia, from lots of places. That dinner was like a farewell for her cos she's leaving us. :( sad thing. She even wrote me a letter, she mentioned almost everything about me in there. Touching tho.
I was really I made it to this dinner because they all made it feel like it's a home for me.
Omg, I'm so gonna cry and die and whatever that is sad when we're about to part. :/

26/7/2014 in Taiwan

The last day for the YiLan camp! Finally got to leave the farm and the resort.. We went to the tea farm and learnt how to pick and make the tea leaf. Oh btw, it was a green tea farm. And surprisingly me and my little kid were the winner, as we picked the most tea leaves. Ahahahah.
Went to the National Centre for Traditional Art in YiLan. Made a DIY bracelet, more like a lucky charm.
Mine is for the memory. :D

Lingered around that place, found a lot of traditional stuffs, were nice, but not really interested in getting any of them.
Headed to the Taipei to send the kids back to meet their parents. And took HSR all the way to the uni, changed and rushed all the way to Taipei again for the grand dinner with my mates! The journey was crazy. It was also the best dinner I've had in Taiwan. Gonna blog about it separately, marking the special event down..

25/7/2014 in Taiwan

The fifth day of the camp, second last day of the camp.. It was fishing and river trekking, yeah I've had so much in both of these activities. I successfully caught 3 fishes, yeah I was so proud of it and of course I let them go at last. And had my tangyuannnnn again before I left this camp!! Hahahaha.
River trekking was really fun, we did in the freezing water, it was so much fun!! Tiring tho. Got splashed from all my kids when we were chillin at the river.
Did the camp fire again at night, we danced and lots of games, wrote messages to each other on the paper stick on everyone's back.
Lighted the sky lantern at night!
Pretty much all for the day.

24/7/2014 in Taiwan

Today was the fourth day of the YiLan camp. Went to butterfly catching in the morning right after the English lesson. My kids they caught a lot of butterflies, yeah, the butterflies here are more unique compare to the one we have. I'll just let the pictures do the talking for this session. Had the very traditional Taiwanese lunch, they used the charcoal stove to cook all the food instead of gas. And I had the best 刨冰 one that noon.
Experienced the rice planting activity after lunch, it was kinda fun working on the paddy field, as long as the weather is not that hot.
Released all the butterflies we've caught in the evening, and then had BBQ as our dinner.. Ended our night with the water balloon fight.
That was pretty everything for the day, it was the fun filled day in this camp I could say.

Had that very fun video call with my best friend! Hahahaha look at her face xD

23/7/2014 in Taiwan

It was typhoon day! Woke up and felt like I was in the South Pole or something. It was freaking cold and windy. Anyway, all of our activities had been canceled due to the typhoon, so we had the indoor activities and games today.
Sounded boring, but I found it very fun at the end of the day.
The kids they had their movies marathon in the morning, well not really a marathon, but only 2 movies continuously. We watched Cloudy with A Chance of Meatballs 1 & 2. They were really nice animations.
Then we had our games and classes in the evening.
Our dinner was the hot pot again! Didn't really like it cos I've taken too much food lately. FAT. And night was the best part, we played the card games, we transformed it into station games. I was in charged of the Happy Family card games, they all liked my station tho.
And then the typhoon went away, or blew away, or I don't know how you say it cos I don't live here, and really sad to hear the news of flight GE222. :(
