Day 1 & 2 BKK

Here am I updating my blog about my most recent to Bangkok, Thailand.
It was a family trip, visited this city on early July.
Took an evening flight, from PEN - Don Mueang by AirAsia.
Arrived in hotel at 9pm local time, did nothing much on the first day.
but something awesome to kickstart my trip in BKK
7-11 in thailand is definitely the best spot to chill.
The hotel is located nearby the Pratunam Night Market, so did a simple check out of whats around the area.
Spent my first night with lots of snacks and mask.

Day 4 BKK

Day 4 - One day trip to Hua Hin

Woke up super early in the morning and had a quick breakfast from 7-11.
We've made the booking for the cab service earlier before the trip.
The package includes a day tour to 10 tourist spots in Hua Hin with only a charge of 3,200 baht.
which was totally worth it from my point of view.
I'll go on details with the places we've visited.
I could eat it everyday if its not preserved food. lololol.

No bake cake.

Hey readers, here's a short update about the recipe for the no bake chocolate cake I have posted on my wechat earlier.
Well, I did not discover this recipe on my own, I have got it online. Credits to homecookingadventure.com for the recipe.
It was my first time making a no bake cake, so I too have a lot to learn.

So this picture tells all the ingredients you need to for this amazing dessert.
For the crust base, you will need:
-         -approximately 3 packs of oreo (350g)
-         -half piece of butter (125g)
There are a few substitutes for the oreo, you can either use marie biscuits, or any disgestive biscuits (commonly used as the crust for cheesecakes), but I’m sure it won’t taste as good as oreo despite all the sweetness is being replaced too.

For the filling, you will need:
-         -milk chocolate (200g)
-         -bittersweet chocolate (100g)
-         -heavy cream (200ml)
I used the hazelnut chocolate instead of bittersweet, it improves the texture of the chocolate filling. If you dislike sweet stuff, use dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate.

For the topping, you will need:
-         -fresh strawberries
-         -chopped nuts (almonds, etc), optional
I have added kiwi to even the sweetness of the chocolate, but it’s not recommended as kiwi is very watery and it makes it hard for the chocolate to harden, or you can place it after its done.
Here are the steps:
1)      Blends the oreo cookies with a food processor until crumbs form. (which I don’t have one), so I placed them in a plastic and crushed them with a roller.
2)      Add melted butter and pour over the crushed oreos, process until evenly moistened.
3)      Place the mixture in a pan, press cookie mixture into the bottom and edges.
4)      Freeze until you prepare the filling, just for a few minutes.
5)      Place the chopper chocolate in a saucepan and place cream over for a few minutes and stir until they are complete melted. (in the original recipe, its stated that no boiling or simmering needed to melt the chocolate).
6)      Remove from saucepan when it cools down, pour over the crust base.
7)      Top with strawberries.
8)      Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight before serving.
Tada! Just perfect for tea or dessert after meal. It’s that simple, well it’s only according to my personal preference, you can CLICK HERE for the video! And once again, credits to homecookingadventure.com for the recipe.

3D2N Medan - Birthday Getaway

Hey readers, I am back again to blog about my birthday trip to Medan, Indonesia.
It was a short escape, and a very last minute trip, booked my flight ticket less than a week before trip, cost about RM200 round trip.
It was  real spontaneous trip with my best friend. :D
So I had a morning flight on 2nd June, it was 6 in the morning that I have to arrive in the airport, so didn’t manage to party the night before, so sad.

Cebu - Day 1

Hey readers, I am back to blogging!
It’s gonna be about my trip to Cebu, Philippines and this update will be separated into few posts.
It was actually my first international trip with my beloved UTB gang!! We have already made the planning a few months (more than half a year) back. Managed to purchase the tickets with affordable price earlier as the price later on was really costly.

Cebu - Day 2

Got up at 10am in the morning on the next day, planned to explore the tourist spots in the Cebu City, took a jeepney to Colon Street (the oldest street in Philippines), there are jeepneys everywhere, only cost me 7 pesos per trip! There were lots of stalls selling different handmade goods, and souvenirs in really low price, and lots of food stalls (shouldn’t try any of it, the food was not very clean). The place was really crowded, and we saw beggars lingering around that area.
*make sure you keep an eye on your valuables!

Cebu - Day 3

Enjoyed my cup of coffee for only 5 pesos in the morning before we proceeded to our next destination, it was a pleasant stay in Le Village GuestHouse, Jhaye’s service was really good and she is always ready to assist. *oh I’ve missed her already!!*
The coffee only cost me 50 pesos per cup!

Cebu - Day 4

The sun rose at 5ish in the morning, nearly 6. Woke up and get things done and headed to lobby for our breakfast. The view was really breath-taking!
I had bacon, omelettes and garlic rice for breakfast. Oh ya, we had a package deal with the tourist guy we found on some blogs earlier, we were having a one day trip in Bohol Island for our 4th day! The guy came to our hotel at 8.30am to pick us up.
Missing this view already! The best hotel I've ever been to!

Cebu - Day 5

Had our next day planned to Oslob, close to Southern Cebu! It was a 3 hours car-driving journey, well it will be longer if you are taking a public bus from Cebu, it will take app 4 hours depending on the traffic. And we woke up as early as 4.30am to get ourselves prepared for the half day trip to Oslob.
Well, you might ask, what was the point of all those efforts?
Here’s my answer, the only reason of going all the way to Oslob...........is……for….

Cebu - Day 6

It was also the last day in Cebu, took my breakfast in the hotel before we headed out for some last minute shopping.
Visited one of the well-known grocery store in Cebu, SaveMore aka SM. Lol the name. Thanks to our rich papa for picking us up and bringing us around on our last day. Done some shopping (good place to get some food / snacks / dried mangoes). Headed to our next destination, Gaisano Island Mall Mactan. Took our lunch there, last meal with UNLI rice, sad case.
 Breakfast in the hotel.
On a free shuttle! So FUN!
