Seoul Winter Trip - Day3

Third day of our trip in Seoul!
Visited ChunCheon, Nami Island, Petite France, The Garden of Morning Calm.
Woke up pretty early and got ready for day trip to ChunCheon, somewhere further away from Seoul.
*Sorry I did not provide full information on how to get there, as there are different sites showing different directions, so let’s just stick to the simple description. Directory links are at the bottom of this post.

Yee Hui.
Michelle.
Took around an hour to get to ChunCheon by ITX.
 View from the train.
 ITX train.
Bought the daily unlimited bus ticket when we hopped on the shuttle bus, there are several attractions in the area besides Nami Island.
It’s best to visit these attractions on weekdays, and be there early, for the bus and the boat to Nami Island, else it’ll be packed like sardines.
The boat / ferry to Nami Island.
 Half the ocean was frozen.
Nami Island is a pretty amazing , and romantic island, and when you are here, especially on Winter, it completely reminds you of Winter Sonata (not a fan but yeah that feels).
We got really really cold as the sea breeze coming from almost everywhere towards the island, (despite with all the outerwears). So, we decided to leave early for lunch.
A very good place for love birds. Hehe.
What to do when you're here with your friends?
PHOTO-SHOOTING SESSION, DUH.

Had our lunch back at ChunCheon.
Chicken Dakgalbi! A must try in the city of ChunCheon.

 Petite France.
We skipped Petite France, as we were not really interested with what’s inside (we actually have that in Malaysia too). So we headed to The Garden of Morning Calm instead.
This place really calms you down, quite a relaxing spot.
 Street snack stores.
[Info from visitkorea.co.kr] The garden is the oldest private garden in Korea. The garden houses about 5,000 kinds of plants, including 300 varieties native to Baekdusan Mountain, known as a spiritual mountain to the Korean people. Flowers are in bloom from March to November, so the garden is usually busy during this period. In addition to the beautiful foliage of the garden, there are a variety of festivals and displays held throughout the year.
 * Spring: Spring Garden Festival
* Summer: Festival of Roses, Hydrangeas and Roses of Sharon
* Autumn: Festival of Chrysanthemums and Autumnal Tints
* Winter: Lighting Festival
 Another photo shooting session.
I actually stood on the frozen river.
I heard the water flowing beneath the ice.
*Dangerous act
 Hi.
We were actually waiting for the lighting to be switched on.
So yeah that explains all the photos. Hehe.
We visited in Winter, so we got to see the lighting festival!
It was breathtaking! Worth a visit!

Got back to Hongdae after a tiring day trip, and guess what? WE SAW SNOWWWWWW!
Well, we were actually wishing to see snow, since it was a winter trip. And thankfully, we got to feel the snow for the first time in our lives. We tried not to get over exaggerated at the beginning of realizing it was snowing but we couldn’t help it in the end. HAHAHA *siasui nia* SNOW SNOW SNOW THAT WAS ALL WE SAW. LALALA.
Thank you for the snow, Seoul. :D
