Seoul Winter Trip - Day4

Fourth day of our trip in Seoul!
Visited Insadong, Bukchon Hanok Village, Samcheong-dong, Lotte Mart.
 Had our brunch in Insadong.
There are lots of traditional restaurant in Insadong (open in 11am), and we have picked the one which was already opened to have our brunch (we were there very early).
We ordered what was recommended by the owner of the restaurant, so I guess they were the tastiest of all.

The restaurant we went for lunch.

Spent the noon lingering around Insadong, tried some of their street snacks too (dumplings, cakes and stuff).
Bought some small packs of their traditional cakes too.

A good place to shop for souvenirs like magnets, keychain, postcards and you can also rent their traditional costumes aka Hanbok.
 Random street photos.
Steamed food. We tried their dumplings - Mandu.

There is a unique mall located in Insadong, where they basically sell their own DIY products (unique and of course pricey).
The girls writing down their wishes.
At some special wishing corner in the mall.
I insisted on trying this Poo Bread! HAHA!
(only available in Insadong, or at least it's the origins, just guessing).
Tried the one with red bean paste and their hot choco.

If you love accessories as much, trust me, this is the place for you and you can spend one whole day here without feeling tired. Hehe.

Headed to Bukchon Hanok Village next.
[Info from visitkorea.or.kr] Surrounded by Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace and Jongmyo Shrine, Bukchon Hanok Village is home to hundreds of traditional houses called 'hanok' that date back to the Joseon Dynasty. The name, 'Bukchon,' which literally translates to 'northern village,' came about as the neighborhoods that the village lies north of the two significant Seoul landmarks, Cheonggyecheon Stream and Jongno. Today, many of these hanoks operate as cultural centers, guesthouses, restaurants and tea houses, providing visitors an opportunity to experience, learn and immerse in Korean traditional culture.
I kinda like visiting these antique places.
There were people (local and foreigners) who strolled the town with Hanbok.
you guys should try it.
We kinda got lost on the street, and the girls were mad at me for misleading them. :P
 Hm?
We got tired hiking up and down and all the photo-shooting session (especially mine). XD
So we headed to a place for tea.
 Stefanie, our itinerary planner. :P

We wanted to head back to the Anguk Subway Station but we couldn't find our way back.
So we were again, lost in that area.
After minutes of walking, we've came to Sam Cheong-dong,
like coincidently?
This place is like heaven for me.
Were so so in love with the surrounding and almost everything here.
(this place should be included in your itinerary).
*Will describe more on my Sam Cheong-dong revisit post.

Headed to LOTTE mart for dinner and grocery shopping.
There's gotta be a long list of stuff to buy in korean groceries for everyone,
and if our hands weren't full, we would have bought the entire mall. (haha, just kidding).
Had our dinner in the food court in LOTTE mart, tried jjajangmyeon (black sauce noodles) for the first time and it was really delicious, kimchi fried rice was good too.

When you're done with payment, make sure you complete the tax refund service at the counter. (Provided if you've purchased above, 30k won).
And there are empty boxes available not far away from the cashier to pack your groceries, and even threads to tie them up (that explains the boxes in the second picture).

Looking for a shopping list in LOTTE mart?
HERE YOU GO!
